Try this. A 10 year old 4th grader came up with the following mnemonic.
"My Very Exciting Magic Carpet Just Sailed Under Nine Palace Elephants."
If the above does not serve you, try this:
"My Very Extraordinary Mother Carrie Just Served Us Nine Pizzas Each."
M- Mercury
V - Venus
E - Earth
M - Mars
C - Ceres
J - Jupiter
S - Saturn
U - Uranus
N - Neptune
P - Pluto
E - Eris
